Brain Gym®, or Educational
Kinesiology, is a series of simple movements which make learning easier.
Brain Gym® exercises were originally developed by Dr. Paul Dennison
and his wife Gail in the early 1970's, as a way to help children with
learning difficulties to access all parts of the brain, thus enhancing
their learning potential. All learners of all age groups can benefit
from these exercises.
The activities are quick and simple and the
results are often surprising and immediate. Musicians, artists and
sportsmen as well as teachers and learners all over the world are
finding Brain Gym® an invaluable tool to reduce stress, increase
concentration and help them to achieve success. The exercises are
easy, elegant and practical and take very little time. They serve
to enhance whole-brain learning, to remove learning blocks and also
to draw out hidden potential.
Izabella
Hearn has over 25 years’ experience in TEFL,
starting at International House, London and moving on to Central
America and Spain. Since 1985 she has been working at King’s
College, Madrid.
For the past 15 years she has been involved in teacher training
and has given workshops throughout Europe, the United States
and South America. Izabella served on the Executive Board
of TESOL Spain for six years and was also a member of the
ESL/Mother Tongue Committee of the European Council of International
Schools.
She is a NLP practitioner and has developed creative techniques
in the classroom based on her research in this area. Izabella
has written a large number of primary EFL textbooks for Pearson,

Fun
English makes use of a wealth of materials and a wide range
of educational strategies appropriate for young learners,
taking the
children as the starting point: their learning styles, the
way they interact with each other, and their interests and
