Top Notch Pop consists of 20 original songs written to accompany the units in the Top Notch Student’s Books. The songs offer a variety of styles—classic pop, rap, ballad, blues, Latin—so there’s something for everyone to enjoy. There are 5 songs for each level of the Top Notch course, and the songs reinforce the language being taught. The lyrics to the songs are printed in the back of the Student’s Book for reference and support.
Students using the Top Notch course have a number of media available from which they can access Top Notch Pop:

Notch Pop Songbook
The Top Notch Pop Songbook contains the twenty original Top Notch Pop songs and twenty entirely NEW songs, so there are now ten songs for every level of the Top Notch course!
The Top Notch Pop Songbook can be used with Top Notch, or with any low-beginning to intermediate course. All songs are labeled by their language focus and the book contains an activity worksheet for each song, enabling learners to practice the language in the songs.
Included with the book are three bound-in disks: two audio CDs containing all the songs as well as a CD-ROM with the karaoke versions of each song. These flexible multi-media materials can be used for self-study, for classroom listening and singing along, or can be projected on a screen for the whole class to enjoy.
