Focused Practice
  In a controlled, safe setting, students are encouraged to be detectives and Discover the Grammar for themselves. This leads to a variety of focused exercises, including increased editing work and error analysis, that encourages students to practice the new grammar.

Communication Practice
  Now that students can put what they've learned into practice. They understand that learning the structure beneath the language leads to increased communication, accuracy, and fluency in all four skills. The Communication Practice step gives students the opportunity to use the grammar through games, info gaps, surveys, listenings, writing, and so much more.

Review or SelfTest
   At the end of every part in Focus on Grammar, there is a review test that can also be used as a self test. These exercises test the form and use of the grammar and include TOEFLŪ-type questions to prepare students for the future.

From Grammar to Writing
  The popular From Grammar to Writing section has now been expanded to all levels, from Basic to Advanced. At the end of each part, this section explains the mechanics and process of writing and includes writing development exercises from sentence through to essay.

Review or SelfTest Answer Key
  This answer key allows students to check their answers as soon as they have completed the test. When a student's answers are incorrect, the student should go back to the appropriate grammar presentation and review the grammar structure. Cross-references to units are provided for easy review.
