Grammar Questions & Answers
Rachel Spack Koch, Lead Moderator Rachel’s welcome message. The Questions & Answers area has two parts: The Grammar Exchange Questions and Answers Newsgroup and The Grammar Questions and Answers Archive. Click on the "Grammar Q & A" menu at the left, or click on one of the links below: The Grammar Questions & Answers Newsgroup This is a live area where readers can post questions about grammar and usage, make comments and read comments from other readers, and receive informed answers from the Grammar Exchange team. When you post a question or a comment, your message is immediately added to the newsgroup for others to see. Click here to go to the newsgroup. It's not necessary to register to read the messages in the newsgroup. However, in order to post, you need to complete a short registration and then login. There's no charge to register, and it's easy—just enter a user ID, your e-mail address, and a password. Click here to read the Guidelines for the Grammar Exchange Newsgroup.
This is where you can find questions and answers that have been posted on our Newsgroup since its inception in June 2001. We have almost 1,000 questions, answers, and comments that we are adding to the Archive. The first page you reach is the Key-Word Index, which lists the topics for all the messages in the Archive. Browse through the Index, find a topic of interest, and click on the link to the archived message. * * * The Grammar Exchange welcomes correspondence from colleagues. Depending on your question, we will answer you privately or post your question on the Newsgroup or in the regular letter. Write to grammarexchange@earthlink.net. In addition to the site, we periodically send out an e-mail Grammar Exchange Letter, which contains questions, answers, comments, recommended web sites or articles about the English language. Please write to Rachel at grammarexchange@earthlink.net if you would like to be on this mailing list.
